Edward G. "Eddie" Fritz

Edward G. “Eddie” Fritz, 49 of Whiting passed away Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his residence. He is survived by his beloved wife, Lianne (nee Grenchik); loving father of Mary and Andrew; dearest brother of Lisa (Charles) Remmers, Jonelle (John) Noffsinger, Traci (Milford) Hale and Kelly (Angelo) Cicco; dear son-in-law of Steve (Nancy Chappey) Grenchik and Lucy (Tom) Chocholak; fond brother-in-law of Mary Ellen (Todd) Basham, Stephen (Sara) Grenchik and Scott Grenchik; proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018, 9:30am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Whiting with the Rev. Charles W. Niblick, officiating; cremation to follow; visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm.

Eddie was born on April 9, 1968 to the late Edward John and Elizabeth (Grdina) Fritz and was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community. He was a graduate of Whiting High School, Class of 1986. He went on to receive his Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences Degree from Purdue University, Lafayette and was a licensed pharmacist in the State of Indiana. He was a devoted husband and father and loved to take his kids swimming and fishing. Ed will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, Memorials to the Mary and Andrew Fritz Education Fund would be appreciated.
