Clyde M. “Randy” Randle, 93 of Whiting passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 at the Hammond-Whiting Care Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Bukvich) Randle who passed away December 15, 2005; cherished uncle of Diana Benjamin and Christopher Benjamin; dear step-father-in-law of George “Butch” Fredy and Martha Ferrara; dearest step-grandfather of Karen, Jennifer, Dawn, Michelle, April, Joy and David and a proud great grandpa. He was also preceded in death by his two step-children, Nancy Fredy and Matthew Ferrara and his sister, Betty McDonald.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with Pastor Paul Vale, officiating and Military Honors presented by the American Legion, Whiting Post 80; interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville; visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00am to time of services.

Clyde Randle was born on October 3, 1923 in Albion, Nebraska to Irving and Juanita Randle. He was a lifelong resident of Whiting and a member of the Whiting United Methodist Church. He was a WWII Navy Veteran and was an active member and past commander of the American Legion Whiting Post 80. “Randy” was a retiree of the LTV Steel Company, East Chicago and was the owner and operator of Duraclean Carpet Cleaners. He was also a model railroading enthusiast. Devoted to his family, “Randy” will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Whiting Food Pantry would be appreciated.
