Angeline J. Golab, 83 of Whiting, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Avalon Springs, Valparaiso. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward J. Golab who passed away August 24, 1994; loving mother of Thomas Golab of Portage and Susan (Mike) O’Gorman of Whiting; cherished grandmother of Zachary, Nicholas, Shaleigh and Michael; dearest sister of Irena and Jozia both of Stopnica, Poland; dear sister-in-law of Jean (late Robert) Springer of Whiting; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018, 9:30am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am at St. Adalbert Church, Whiting, with the Rev. Mark R. Peres, C.PP.S., officiating; entombment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City; visitation at the funeral  home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00pm; parish wake service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 4;30pm.

Angeline Golab was born on December 14, 1934 in Stopnica, Poland and was a resident of Whiting for the past 60 years. She was a member of St. Adalbert Church, Whiting and the Polish Roman Catholic Union. She was a retiree of the Lever Bros. Company, Hammond with a service of 25 years and was a member of the Lever Bros. 25 year Club. Angeline loved to knit and tend to her garden and was an excellent cook and baker. Devoted to her family, Angeline will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital would be appreciated.
