Allan Bajda, 59 of Whiting, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. He is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Natalie (nee Nastav); loving father of Michael (Jill) Nastav, Katie Bajda and Elliott Bajda; adoring grandpa of Natasha and Mikey Nastav; cherished son of Caroline and the late Stanley Bajda; dearest brother of Bob (Naomi) Bajda and Anita Govranic; dear nephew of Rosemary and John Kokenis; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at 9:30am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am at St. Adalbert Church, Whiting with the Rev. Jerome P. Stack, C.PP.S., officiating; cremation to follow; visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00pm; members of the parish, together with the Knights of Columbus, Pope John XXIII Council, 1696, will offer prayers at the funeral home on Friday at 7:00pm.

Allan Bajda was born on September 29, 1957 and was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community. He was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1975 and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management from the Calumet College of St. Joseph, Hammond. He was a member of the former Immaculate Conception Church, Whiting and is a member of St. Adalbert Church, Whiting and the Knights of Columbus, Pope John XXIII Council, 1696. He was currently employed by G4S Security. Devoted to his family, Allan will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him
