Timothy McFarland, C.PP.S. of St. Adalbert Church, Whiting, officiating; cremation to follow. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

David Morando was born on March 12, 1956 to the late Joaquin and Mary (Gonzalez) Morando and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. He was a member of St. Adalbert Church, Whiting and was a retiree of the Globe Building Materials Co., Whiting, with a service of 23 years and Kinder Morgan, Inc., Whiting. David enjoyed camping, fishing, wood-working, music and spending quiet time in his yard around a fire.

David was a person who loved so much and was loved by so many. Anywhere he went he made a friend. He loved spending time in his yard and garage, having friends stop by to talk. He loved having fires with family and friends, just enjoying life. He was so proud of his kids and grandkids, he loved them with all his heart. He was always an animal lover. He cherished all of his “babies”. He loved showing pictures of his cat, “Ally” and granddog “Trey”, who are both with him in heaven and his boys “Gordon”, “Graham” and “Gus”. He especially loved his wife, Kim. He always showed her how much he loved her and appreciated her in his way. He had a special bond with his nieces and nephews, always showing them love and joking around with them. His memory will live on through all he loved. David went through the hardest battle going through pancreatic cancer. He was so strong and kept a happy face through it all. He always wanted everyone else to be okay and not to worry about him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, 500 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60611, would be appreciated.
