Charles P. Bohn

Charles P. Bohn, 66 of Whiting, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 26, 2024 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Janet (nee Zaksewski); loving father of Nichole, Jennifer (Patrick) Modrowski, Wayne (Chrisina) Coding Jessica (Frank) Hernandez, Kristina, Sophie Bohn Struss and Derrick (Widelie) Bohn; cherished grandpa of fourteen.

A Celebration of Chuck’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00pm at Langel’s Pizza, 2833 Highway Ave., Highland, IN . Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Charles Bohn was born on January 4, 1958 to Charles Bohn and Elsie Louise (Housley) Bohn Phillips in Chicago, Illinois and was a resident of Whiting for the past 35 years. A seasoned truck driver, he was employed by Haluska Trucking and BXI/Kenan Advantage Group, where he was the senior driver trainer, with over 20 years of service. Charles enjoyed fishing and boating. Devoted to his family, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Whiting Food Pantry, c/o P.O. Box 591, Whiting, IN 46394, would be appreciated
