Robert R. “Bob” Hart, 65 of Hammond passed away suddenly on the morning of April 24, 2017 at the St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Center, Hammond. He is survived by two daughters, Christina Hart and Patricia Hart; a sister, Sharon Cooper; two nieces, Stephanie (Bill) Reshkin and Ashley Cooper; great uncle to Lindsey, Hailee, William, Nicolas, Daniel and Ethen; many cousins.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with the Rev. Stanley J. Dominik, officiating; interment, St. John Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00pm.

Bob Hart was born on August 23, 1951 to Ralph and Helen (Macak) Hart and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. A member of the former Immaculate Conception Church, Whiting, Bob attended St. Joseph Church in Hammond. He was a graduate of Whiting High School, Class of 1969 and was the Civil Defense Supervisor for the City of Hammond. Bob enjoyed playing the piano, listening to opera and working on his computer. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
