Randal R. “Randy” Koch, 58 of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at his residence. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Patti (nee Corriere); loving father of Amanda and Matthew; cherished son of Dr. Paul Koch and the late Alma (Zelenack) Koch; dearest brother of Larry (late Barbara) Koch and Garry (Donna) Koch; many dear nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral services, Monday, August 28, 2017, 9:30am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting with the Rev. Jerome P. Stack, C.PP.S., officiating; cremation to follow; visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm; parish wake service at the funeral home on Sunday at 3:00pm.

Randy Koch was born on January 25, 1959. He was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1977. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting and St. Casimir Church, Hammond. Randy was the Receiving Manager for Ultra Foods and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks fan. Devoted to his family, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salesian Missionaries would be appreciated.
