Marie R. (Molnar) Pugh

Marie R. Pugh (nee Molnar) 93 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the William J. Riley Memorial Residence, Munster. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald G. Pugh who passed away December 10, 1987; cherished sister of Irene (late Richard) Knott; dear aunt of Terry, John, Patti and Irene; many great nieces and nephews; many beloved cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 11:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with the Rev. Alphonse Skerl, officiating; interment to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:30am to time of services.

Marie Pugh was born on November 12, 1924 in Whiting, Indiana to Joseph G. and Marie E. (Kubeck) Molnar. She was a longtime resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1943. She was a member of the former Holy Trinity Hungarian Church of East Chicago and was a retiree of the Sinclair Oil Refinery, East Chicago with over 30 years of service. Marie loved to work crossword puzzles and have a cup of tea. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
