Helen Kulasak (nee Santay) 93 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Kulasak; loving mother of Phillip (Nicole) Kulasak of Whiting and Michele (late Phil) Winsor of Longmont, CO; cherised grandmother of Bethany Winsor; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, George, John and Michael Santay and three sisters, Mary Price, Elizabeth Yusko and Ann Mrzlock.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at 10:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with the Rev. John E. Kalicky, C.PP.S., officiating; interment of cremains to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond; friends are invited to meet with the family on Thursday morning from 9:00am to time of services.

Helen Kulasak was born on January 12, 1923 to John and Anna Santay and was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc., BR. 81. Helen was a retiree of the Lever Bros. CO. of Hammond. Devoted to her family, Helen will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
